Zero stars is not an option. Live a little better than living on the streets should be the slogan. Second year having to wade through sewage water to get to my car parked in poorly maintained garage. I guess I'm lucky that I discovered the citizen app that notified me about flooding that was happening so I was able move my car before the water enter my engine, like it did last year resulting in a total loss. Updating my review. Would give it no stars if possible. I am not joking when I say that it will soon be two years that our balcony has been "under construction". They made all of the tenants remove their balcony furniture, construction was done for about two months and then they never came back. Those balcony rails have been left leaning against our wall under the window for almost TWO years now. The job was just left unfinished. I've lived in Lefrak City for a long time, and on the more recent side the quality has worsened. Neighbors continuously blast their music without consequence, security is never strict, being that they're contracted, smoking within the stairwells, elevators being taken out of service during Rush Hour, the list never ends. This place needs to increase strictness and security on the tenants. Roger H. The water is still cold.....now it's all day long!!! No hot baths or showers any day of the week! Rodent and bug infestation in the hallways, trash rooms and lobby are out of control! Neighbors are still allowed to be annoyingly abusive!!! Management does NOTHING!!! Dog crap is everywhere....people are walking their dogs where dogs aren't supposed to be. I would not recommend anyone move into Lefrak City. I am so sorry I ever rented an apartment in the Sydney building in September 2020. I lived there for 14 months and in June of 2021, my apartment was burglarized. I reached out to the management office and never received a response. I filed a police report and there's footage of this person entering my apartment without my permission. I'm still not convinced it wasn't an inside job. In lefrak city I called maintance servise about when will the sprinkler on in the back yard. And then I asked about when will the pool re-open again. She could'nt answer it.Nobody knows answer.

The heating problem was worse than ever this past year, 2020. The law says Landlords must provide adequate heat whenever the temperature drops below 55 degrees. However, in 2020 when the temperature outside dropped to the thirties we had no heat in the Sydney Bldg. There are many senior citizens, like myself, and infants and young children who suffer in this cold environment. Boiler repairs don't seem to work. Otherwise, however, general maintenance is excellent.

I have beb bugs on my apt !!!! ‍I just moved last week. Somebody went to the studio and fumigated but they need to do 2 more times. I can't live there. I have all my things on the floor. I work from home and I couldn't do it because this big problem! I want to change my situation. I want move to other studio or they need to stop the rent until They Fix the problem. This place is horrible. I have lost package that is worth thousands of dollars because people steal everything. The camera and the security system they have is not helpful at all. It's all a show for the new residents to get a place here in Lefrak City. Once you sign your contract, they don't give a shit about you or anybody that lives here. This is all a hoax. Don't get an apartment here. Trust me. I lived here for years and nothing has changed. This place is still the same with high crime rates and horrible security system... read more
