I've been living in the Paris building for a couple of years, and have been inhaling second hand smoke from tenants living a floor or two below me. I've told management about this multiple times, but no one seems to care. There are cigarette butts on the staircase, and when the elevator opens on certain floors, it reeks of smoke.

do not move into lefrak city!!! dont waste your time or money the outside of the buildings are all remodeled and made to look nice but the insides are trash!!!! infested with rodents and mice. their water pipes are old and always broken or clogged . there maintenance service is extremely poor and never available even when its an emergency. the rent is always increased and you are always charged for remodeling but nothing that is beneficiary to the tenant it is only made nice for those who they are trying to indulge into mo... read more

I have lived in this apartment since 2011 and even though the lease which is a contract agreement which states no dogs allowed people have dogs all over. I been battling my up stairs neighbor about a dog since 2012 and now a new neighbor on same floor across the hall has a dog which barks non stop all day I have reached out numerous times to NYC.gov have reached out numerous times to security here in lefrak. The worst place to live in , its very noisy !! A lot of robbery's in the area , rent increase every month and your mail get lost !! And forget your rent deposit you won't get back .. they will charge for what ever they want to !!

Rats, Parasites, Bedbugs, Cockroaches - Unhygienic Place No Customer Care ! Whole apartment is full of Bugs and Cockroaches, this can lead to several disease and I don't know why health department don't care ! When we move out they deduct our security deposit for several reasons, they cut 400 $ for paint, while building paint was nice with very minor scratches. beside that they deduct for many other items which we don't know about it. these people are rubbers. Be Careful Before going there

I first moved into LeFrak City in March of 2017. I will be leaving in February of 2019. I currently live in a three-bedroom apartment on the Horace Harding side. The first year of my tenancy was okay. All of the maintenance requests we submitted were fulfilled within a day or two. The superintendent was helpful and his office was open most of the time. Don't expect to get much of your deposit back! Was a loyal tenant For eight years, paid my rent on time all of the time! When I moved out nickel and dime every little thing to give me back as little of my deposit as legally possible. Oh and they threatened legal action. Do yourself a favor and pass on these guys

I lived in this complex on 2017, and I have been extremely disappointed with roaches (100 roaches the first night. Just a nightmare) and flooding. Be careful because they also try to keep your deposit. I don't recommend this place at all.

Positives: Convenient location Good keeping of the exterior of the buildings Secure safe boxes for packages Negatives: Prepare to not have water at least once a month You may have to spend money on extermination because the building management will take a lot of time to address the roach & mice infestation they forget to mention upon signing the lease People often smoke weed on the staircases, it's very common & therefore you will have to endure secondhand smoke in your apartment because the smell travels fast The laund... read more
