If I could I give 0 starts. Me and My family there for 10 years, I moved out , All my stay I had cockroaches issue, Management is Honorable. I reported the issue they send a person who spray 3 min here and nothing happens, not even 1 dead roach. And I took a day off , the guy said he need to come 4 more times at list. I believe he used water to spry just to make me call him few more times since he get payed per visit. My apartment was infested. Don't move here.. i been here for 4yrs and im paying so much rent. The cabinets in my kitchen are old. I keep complaining about the roaches behind by the cabinets and they keep coming out of the molding that are cheap. And the wood u can see its old. And keep giving me excuses about replacing it. I heard all want to do it seal the holes and paint them all white. But that doesnt solve the problem when that look real old

Winter is the worst here. Always an issue with the heat. I've been here for 3 years and I hate the winter I find it warmer outside then in the apt.

The living Standard is very poor. Its not worth paying such high rent. The building complex looks good from outside but don't let it fool you. I live here with my wife and its very uncomfortable for her due to random guys hangout in the lobby and hall ways harass young women. The management is very poor you can never get a hold of anyone. No one answers the calls ever or will call you back. The super is soooo unrelaible dont expect any help from them will never do any repairs on time. Lived in Lefrak 30 Years...on the upper 17th floor, 57th Avenue Side.. watched this area change over and over... It looks really nice on the outside, and lobby floors look great now, but that won't help the living issues..These days I can categorize the problems. - REPAIRS : No one has come to repair the place in 5 years or so, old management or new, regardless of you being forced to sign papers and request things like bars on the windows... to this day, no bars on my windows, which I believe is illegal, and no repairs... read more

Somehow randomly came across these Lefrak reviews and i'm amused. I lived here for 15 years before moving to a nicer neighborhood 3 years ago. Many people are lured to Lefrak by the lower rents and the ever increasing number of nearby shopping centers. Yes, they did renovate the lobbies, the apartments are rent stabilized and spacious, and there is a lot of shopping and public transportation in the area. Yes, they did arrest a lot of drug dealers over the years, but unfortunately, there is still way too much crime. I mana... read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would, this place where I grew up my whole life has become a disaster due to new management, not only are they unprofessional with lack of communicating upgrades and progress done to the complex they have terrible security who single out certain people and drive around doing nothing all day. My parents who still live in the area , one of them is handicap and disable and the accessibly to get around has been merely impossible for her. Moving in August!! Do yourself a favor and don't move here. I can tell people a thousand times not to move here but you wont listen. Dont be fooled by the aesthetics on the outside. I am finally moving and I don't care if I can't afford to eat I just have to get out of this place. I have a little water running in my kitchen and I have reported it to all the supers and the managers who I believe are sexing each other because they sure as hell are not doing anything else. This place was a disaster from the get-go. Even though the apartment was empty for 3 weeks prior to my moving in, it was still infested with mice and roaches. Went to the office and the person told me "you didn't rent from me, so not my problem". Come winter.. oh boy, on multiple occasions the apartment was a chilly 59F (State requires min of 68F if colder than 55F outside). Management basically refused to do anything.
