I've lived on 98th and 57th for the past 2 years. Pros: The apartments are large and pretty modern. The stove was new and the view is nice. Close to Queens Ctr mall, Rego Park shopping area and Target. Subway is 10 minutes away. The 3 elevators usually run pretty fast. Cons: Do not....I repeat...DO NOT move into any buildings on 57th Avenue!! There are people hanging out in front of the stores ALL the time, no matter what the weather is! As a woman, I don't feel safe walking in front of the stores, I have to w... read more
Lived here for far too long. It is way past time to leave. I don't even know where to begin. 25-30 years ago it was an OK place to be.. there was higher crime then but the buildings themselves were a bit better maintained, guarded and organized. OVERPRICED... BIG TIME Lefrak gets sued? Your rent is raised. Lefrak needs to buy something or fix something they should have fixed years ago? Your rent is raised.. permanently. Lefrak wants to make money and invest in luxury properties in Manhattan or Los Angeles? Yup, your rent ... read more
I have lived here for the past year and I cant wait to move out. The apartment itself is spacious and the price was affordable but constant noise from the long island expressway took a lot of getting used to. I was on the top floor of the building and had to keep my bathroom doors closed due to the sound of running water in the pipes behind the walls which maintenance could do nothing about. Or the waterbugs that crawl out of the pipes at night. Parking is horrible in the area, you are forced to pay them for a parking spot... read more
I am writing this review so the prospective tenant know the exact situation if they are thinking to move in. This review is based for the building complex towards 57th ave. 97th st. Hallway specially the basement is extremely smelly (smells like rotten garbage. Customer care training for the supers is extremely encouraged. Their behavior is rude. Unattending and ignoring attitude of the supers and staff should be checked. Its getting increasingly difficult to get simple household repairs done, due the rude and uncaring sup... read more
This has to be the worst place to live. Their motto is "live a little better" and I say "live a little better than homeless". This place is invested with bugs!, So much so that when I moved I had to trash all my furniture because in the cracks where eggs upon eggs that I had never even know was there. I filled numerous work order about repairs, and roaches I saw crawling everywhere. NEVER did I know they were imbedded in my furniture! I was locked into a lease for a year and I couldn't wait to get out! I was tired of the nas... read more
Spacious apartments. Someone got shot in the head at the elevator right before I moved out and in the process of getting out the super and maintenence guys went into my apartment and took the materials I used to fix my apartment that I purchased myself. You can barely reach them if you have a complaint and the 57th ave side is a place to stay far far away from. Worst moving decision I ever made going into this building. Maybe once the police tower on 57th ave gets enough footage of the crime levels, there will be changes. Bu... read more

My experience at LeFrak The lease center is very nice, agent's were nice and helpful My agent takes me to view building, I ask her if things have improved since the glory days of the 80's when the name sakes of rappers " Noreaga" ,"Akinyele" and" Kool G Rap" lived in LeFrak, she quickly changed the subject. We entered the building in through a side door , where anyone could buzz their way into your building if they waited long enough, (Very Concerned), in fact three people came in with us . Who know who they were. I di... read more
Rent is High $1400 for 1 bedroom and you share your APT with ROACHES!! Super doesn't respond to calls promptly as they want their rent. Dirty place and they are renovating the outside instead of the inside which are falling apart. I can't wait for another year for my baby to start Pre-k so i can move out because babysitting is great because you can pick who you want. And you pay for everything (repairs) they do in the building. Windows, roof, you name it. You get charged ($25)for Carbon monoxide detectors installed.
