Be careful! Location is great and fantastic view. The maintenance team is really awful and rude. Some doorman is good but some of them are really bad. Roches in the hallway and in the unit too. I had to put some roch killer pill at every corner of my room.
Worst management, noise neighborhood Lots of noise in the neighborhood, can't really focus on working and studying at home. Doormen will yell at you and leasing team will try their best to make your move-out as hard as possible. Fixtures are old and bad qualify. Door can't close tied, so you can smell whatever your neighbors are cooking. Lots of leaks in the window, and the heat is super loud as well.
If smelly common areas are your thing Common areas, like the trash room and laundry room, are not well kept. Hallways are smelly and the central air in the hallways are almost always off so it’s also hot. The building staff are incredible, though. Building management just need to hire more staff to keep the building clean if they want to attract more discerning tenants - especially since raising rent to Long Island City prices.
Verified Renter Pros: 1. Location 2. Relatively inexpensive (when compared to other buildings in the area). 3. courteous building staff. Cons: 1. Flooring seems to be from a different millennium. 2. Overall maintenance poor. 3. Roaches. 4. However, roaches become dormant in the winter as cold air come in due to extremely poor insulation. The flip side is you may have to spend $300 for heating during the winter. Conclusion: If there is another apartment building in a comparable location which is $200-300 more expensive than P... read more
Verified Renter Waterside Square North has a convenient location and quick access to the boardwalk, however, the dated kitchens and bed bugs make the apartments less desirable.
They treat you like a number! Very unorganized! I just wanted to look at an apartment. The apartment.com website says one price and then when you call the office to set up an appointment they give you another. Then they say someone will call you and you get a text asking for the same information you just gave over the phone. If you try to call the number it goes nowhere. It's a very sketchy process and whoever texts you treats you like a # rather than a person.
Verified Renter Bad staff at the building except super who is good.
Verified Renter Be careful when moving in- the Newport realtor may bait-and-switch. Make sure the lease has the advertised rate on it and any free month(s) included. Be firm in asking for what you want fixed or cleaned before moving in, and check it before move-in day if you can. The front desk people are nice, but are really just there to receive packages and give them to you when you go down to pick them up (which is a nice amenity, no stolen packages!).
Built in Waterfalls! My windows have been leaking for 6 months and management keeps coming up with excuses for why it will take longer and longer to fix it. Would you feel safe living somewhere your windows leak over your heating and cooling units every few days? I should also add - this is ALL of my windows.
