Downtown living in St Paul Right next to the market very handy for the train - staff here are great
Lowertown Commons The neighborhood has changed. It's no longer the quiet artists' community.
Concerns complaints reviews Kind of a cool apartment but when you walk outside the apartment, it smells of dog urine, which is very upsetting for me. Also, I have a valve leaking in my apartment that has not been resolved yet.
Long time resident I've lived here ... many years. Lowertown Commons is not as convivial as it once was. Not just management (maintenance has improved) ... but the residents. They don't seem to care. Not for security ... courtesy. Amenities? There are none. Lowertown used to be a quiet neighborhood. But that's changed with the CHS Field. I dread having to drive anywhere during a ballgame for fear that I'll never be able to get out of the parking lot. I would not recommend Lowertown Commons to a friend.
Review Front doors of the apartment slam shut and have never been fixed. Smells like pot all the time and management tells us that we need to call the police to deal with it. But, in our leases is a violation to smoke? Dog poop and pee are always outside of the building and is so embarrassing
Ability to pay The fact that you make people pay utilities with their rent instead of separate is wrong. That is not the monthly amount I agreed to pay on my lease. Also you guys don't allow people to split payments and you guys are now limiting ways people can pay. You guys should want to make it easier to get your money not harder. Me and a few other residents are talking to lawyers about the legality of all of this.
Not The Same I've been in lower town Commons for 3 years now. Since the day I moved in maintenance has been amazing. If the sad part is Matt is Is grossly overworked. Angie is a gem and wish we had her 100% of the time. Since her departure, things have not been the same. Hire a solid PM and pay them more. Hire more maintenance staff - pay them more.
Lacking in almost everything For the last few years, Lowertown Commons has been falling apart. Basic maintenance is lacking, garbage is not taken care of, windows are not cleaned, and the office staff is almost never available. We love this neighborhood, and we used to love this building. I doubt we will be renewing our lease.
Terrible for the amount of $ Noise- I can hear my neighbors speaking on the phone like they’re in the same room. There is no noise barrier or privacy— Air Cond- one of the selling points was having AC, the AC DOES NOT WORK, they had the audacity to tell us residents to open the windows instead ( I paid for AC in the unit, it was also 92 degrees outside). This has been the most miserable living experience I’ve had and It’s the most by far I’ve paid for rent. The only thing this place has going for it is location. Steer Clear ... read more
