Woke up to find my mattress had bed bugs the day after moving in. It has been six days since then, and each day after asking about getting a replacement mattress I was told that I would have it that same evening or the next morning. I still don't have a new mattress. I understand maintenance may be dealing with lots of issues, but I would think that bed bugs would be a priority, in addition to maybe not woefully overpromising results. DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU ARE A STUDENT. This is no student community. The WiFi makes it impossible to do any work whatsoever. The bus system is so awful you are never guaranteed to get to class on time, or at all. The actual apartments themselves are nice, but you spend no time in them. Each year they raise rent by about $100 and by next lease season, it won’t be worth it. If you have your own form of transportation, you should look for someplace else, and if you don’t, you should look at on campus dorms.
As other reviews have said the rent and utilities are high especially for the area. I know maintenance is trying their best but it is clear that they are understaffed. When we moved in our dishwasher was broken and it took them over 2 months to replace along with other issues that have taken even longer to resolve. While having a gym and pool is nice if you don't have a car this place is not worth it, the bus skips the stop regularly along with not going past 8 pm on most nights. This place was much better before Muinzer. It should come as a surprise to no one that a big company (Muinzer) bought a smaller company (previous owners) and skyrocketed the price. I have lived here for 3 years, and would've been happy to stay for a 4th year, but my rent wouldve been DOUBLE what it was when I started. Rent has doubled in 2 years since Muinzer bought the property. They did do renovations around the complex, but there is 0 chance that rent needed to double for those, this is just corporate greed. The people are great, however the Wi-Fi here is awful. They switched it midway through the year, and the new one comes with constant buffering, outages, and extremely low speeds. I know this change comes from the higher ups as a way to cut down on expenses to increase profit margin but the new internet is horrific. Anticipate highly unreliable internet if you live here.
