My mother lived there 7 years. Apartments are very well done. Staff turned over some over years but were accommodating. Apartments were a little noisy but part of keeping the building original. She was very happy there.
My mom was trying to get in here, and every time she would call to talk to the office person she always had to leave a message. Then when she did reach the office lady she acted like she didn’t know what she was doing or that my mom had gave her everything she needed to have. Then the lady tells her that she doesn’t think she can afford to live there. Also, the office lady shouldn’t give people their move in date if you don’t plan on renting an apartment to them. I was a caregiver to a resident who lived in this building. I will say it's beautiful but some apartments have no sound barrier so you could here a lot. The basement flooded and caused a mold issue. The customer service those residents during the flood absolutely terrible. They also expected a bunch or retired residents to plow the sidewalks during the winter. Nice place to live. Good neighbors. Many things to do. Check it out. UPDATE AS OF 2/03/2021 If my review led you here I am sorry. Things have taken a turn for the worst. Management no longer follows the rules set forth in their lease or their rule book. Not even sure if my copy of the rules are in compliance anymore. Under age tenants are now a reality, along with criminal problems which now seems to be more frequent. Here is hoping things will only improve in the future. Blue Bell Lofts in Columbia city Indiana are absolutely beautiful inside and out my experience here is awesome management is great and the units are beautiful I have been here just over 2 years and honestly I'm really comfortable and feel very secure they have all sorts of things to do here and I would recommend Blue bell Lofts to anyone looking for a place to call home!!
